AI FOR All

Workshops

Whether you're just getting started or ready to go deeper, these workshops are for people who want to use AI thoughtfully, without hype and without feeling like you have to become a tech person to keep up.

I care a lot about how AI gets used, and that's woven into everything I teach. Not just practical skills, I teach the bigger picture too. Ethics, responsibility, the importance of staying human in how we work and think, and making sure AI supports you rather than replaces.

If that sounds like your kind of learning, check out my upcoming dates.

AI Foundations

If AI has been on your to-do list for longer than you'd like to admit, you're in the right place.

Maybe you've set up a free account and barely touched it. Maybe you've been using ChatGPT here and there but wondering whether you're doing it right. Maybe someone at work has started talking about it and you want to feel informed rather than just nodding along.

Whatever your starting point, there's a feeling sitting on your chest, you'd like to get properly grounded in this before the gap gets any wider, and what you really want is someone to walk you through it so that it all clicks into place.

That's what this workshop is for.

Oh, and one very important detail, a proper barista coffee will be waiting for you on arrival. Hooray!

What You'll Leave With

Many people who come to this workshop aren't starting from zero. They've heard about AI, maybe tried it a few times, and along the way picked up a low-level anxiety that they're either doing it wrong or falling behind. What shifts over the course of the morning is that feeling.

You'll leave with a clear understanding of what AI is and how the tools you're already hearing about fit together, without the jargon and without the hype.

You'll feel ready to open your laptop and have a proper go, knowing that experimenting, trying things, and occasionally getting a weird result is exactly how everyone learns this, including the people who look like they know what they're doing.

You'll start to see your everyday tasks differently, spotting where AI could take something off your plate or help you think something through, rather than treating it as a separate project you need to find time for.

And you'll feel more comfortable talking about it, whether that's in a networking conversation where AI keeps coming up, with a colleague who seems to be streets ahead, or with your own clients when it comes to being open about how you're using it in your work.

Wednesday 17th June | 10.00 - 12.00 | Wilton Village, SP2 0RS

What's it like?

You're welcome to arrive from 09.30 so you can settle in and meet everyone before we get started. The groups are small, never more than eleven people, and there's a really lovely warmth in the room from the off. Just before 10.00, proper barista coffees and cake arrive from the café across the courtyard, and then we begin.

Questions are welcome throughout, there are no silly ones, and if you want to stay on afterwards for a more private conversation that's absolutely fine, I always keep my afternoon free so the questions can continue after the session if needed.

What You'll Cover

  • What AI is, how it works, and how the main tools relate to each other

  • Generative AI explained clearly, including how tools like ChatGPT and Claude work and where they're already having an impact

  • Representation in AI, why it matters that all voices are part of this conversation

  • Responsible AI use, covering data safety, transparency, bias, and how to use these tools with your eyes open

  • Prompting, how to communicate with AI tools to get better results

  • Real-life use cases and a live demo, so you can see how it translates into your work

Advanced AI

If you're already using AI regularly (and safely), prompting with confidence and making the most of the features available to you, this is your next step.

Nobody's starting from scratch here, but nobody's expected to know everything either, and there's no such thing as a silly question even at this level.

We'll get into advanced features that don't always get properly explained, things like AI assistants and AI agents, what they are, how they work, and how/ where to use them.

We'll also spend time talking about how AI is changing the way people search, and what that means for your business, when AI is deciding who is visible and who is not.

As always, there'll be plenty of use cases to get your ideas flowing, and see how they can fit into your own work.

What You'll Cover

  • How to build a team of custom AI assistants

  • AI Agents in action – an exploration of how AI can run multi-step tasks without your constant input

  • GEO (AI Optimisation) – why AI search is building on SEO, and what that means for businesses who want to stay visible

  • How advanced users think – practical ways professionals use AI daily for research, planning, strategy and multimodal content

  • NOTE: The world of AI moves fast, the content of this advanced AI workshop may change to stay up to date with the latest updates. I want to ensure you are accessing information 'hot of the press'.

What You'll Leave With

The topics we cover in this workshop are things you've probably already heard about, AI assistants, agents, GEO, and each time you've heard them you've maybe thought "I should look into that" and then not quite known where to start. That changes after this session.

You'll leave with a clear understanding of what AI assistants are and how to build one. You'll have seen an AI agent in action and gone from curious to ready to give one a try. And you'll understand what's shifting in the world of online visibility, and what you can do about it for your own business.

More than anything, you'll leave feeling like an intentional AI user, someone who's moved beyond the everyday uses and started thinking about what's really possible.

But Lois took us on a journey… from where AI began to where it’s going next. She kept things simple, practical, and packed with golden tips. If you get a chance to attend one of her sessions, take it!” - Holly

Hey, I’m Lois

I'll be honest, when I first came across AI in Feb 2024 I assumed it wasn't really for me. I don't come from a tech background, and I was convinced I wasn't going to understand it. Silly me, how wrong I was!

I found it was far more accessible than I expected. It changed the way I run my business, the way I manage the constant juggle of work and family, and it gave me back time. Time to do things better, time to grow, and the ability to go to bed knowing the 'to do' list is under control.

But alongside all of that, I've always been concerned about how AI gets used, and that concern has become just as central to what I teach as the practical skills. Ethics, representation, the responsibility of using these tools with intention rather than just chasing the next shiny thing. I want the people who come to my workshops to care about that too, to leave not just as more capable users, but as thoughtful ones who haven't lost their voice or their humanity along the way.

That's what these workshops are really about. I'd love to see you in the room.

The Smartest Way to Join

If you're already thinking about booking Foundations, it's worth knowing that you can add Advanced at the same time and save 20%.

The two workshops are designed to work together. Foundations gives you the grounding and confidence to start using AI properly. Advanced takes you into the features and tools that open up once you've got that foundation in place. There's always enough time between the two dates to put what you've learned into practice before you come back for more.
