Many people who come to this workshop aren't starting from zero. They've heard about AI, maybe tried it a few times, and along the way picked up a low-level anxiety that they're either doing it wrong or falling behind. What shifts over the course of the morning is that feeling.
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what AI is and how the tools you're already hearing about fit together, without the jargon and without the hype.
You'll feel ready to open your laptop and have a proper go, knowing that experimenting, trying things, and occasionally getting a weird result is exactly how everyone learns this, including the people who look like they know what they're doing.
You'll start to see your everyday tasks differently, spotting where AI could take something off your plate or help you think something through, rather than treating it as a separate project you need to find time for.
And you'll feel more comfortable talking about it, whether that's in a networking conversation where AI keeps coming up, with a colleague who seems to be streets ahead, or with your own clients when it comes to being open about how you're using it in your work.
You're welcome to arrive from 09.30 so you can settle in and meet everyone before we get started. The groups are small, never more than eleven people, and there's a really lovely warmth in the room from the off. Just before 10.00, proper barista coffees and cake arrive from the café across the courtyard, and then we begin.
Questions are welcome throughout, there are no silly ones, and if you want to stay on afterwards for a more private conversation that's absolutely fine, I always keep my afternoon free so the questions can continue after the session if needed.

How to build a team of custom AI assistants
AI Agents in action – an exploration of how AI can run multi-step tasks without your constant input
GEO (AI Optimisation) – why AI search is building on SEO, and what that means for businesses who want to stay visible
How advanced users think – practical ways professionals use AI daily for research, planning, strategy and multimodal content
NOTE: The world of AI moves fast, the content of this advanced AI workshop may change to stay up to date with the latest updates. I want to ensure you are accessing information 'hot of the press'.
The topics we cover in this workshop are things you've probably already heard about, AI assistants, agents, GEO, and each time you've heard them you've maybe thought "I should look into that" and then not quite known where to start. That changes after this session.
You'll leave with a clear understanding of what AI assistants are and how to build one. You'll have seen an AI agent in action and gone from curious to ready to give one a try. And you'll understand what's shifting in the world of online visibility, and what you can do about it for your own business.
More than anything, you'll leave feeling like an intentional AI user, someone who's moved beyond the everyday uses and started thinking about what's really possible.
My Advanced AI workshop is for people of all backgrounds who are confidently using AI at a foundation level but are now ready to go beyond the basics and start using AI as an advanced user.
Note: You don't need to have attended the AI Foundations workshop but you do need to know your way around AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT and have already covered the basics.
Not at all. AI is for everyone.
An open mind. You may wish to bring a laptop to follow along, but it's not required.

“Lois is an absolute fountain of knowledge. She speaks with such clarity and passion. She is a joy to listen to and learn from. Two hours just wasn’t enough; I left buzzing to learn more! I can’t recommend Lois highly enough.” - Sarah-Jane
“Now, I thought I had a handle on AI, I’ve been using ChatGPT for a while to help with writing, organising my thoughts, and sometimes keeping my dyslexic brain on track. But Lois took us on a journey… from where AI began to where it’s going next. She kept things simple, practical, and packed with golden tips. If you get a chance to attend one of her sessions, take it!” - Holly
“If you want to know more about AI then I thoroughly recommend reaching out to Lois, she brought energy and curiosity to a conversation that most of the room was struggling to get their head around and used relatable examples to help the message land. Already looking forward to the advanced workshop.” - Charlene
"Thank you SO MUCH for last week's session, I was blown away with how much I learned, the potential for AI and also your knowledge and delivery, you really know your stuff and created a wonderfully engaging and inspiring session. I kept thinking - I'm so glad I'm here! Really looking forward to the next one." - Natalie
"Really informative, you make it so easy to understand, but it's also quite mind-blowing! Excited to put it all to use just as soon as I can...thanks so much again for bringing AI to Salisbury." - Tamzin

"I’m absolutely blown away, more excited to get started now that I have a snippet of your knowledge." - Lydia

I'll be honest, when I first came across AI in Feb 2024 I assumed it wasn't really for me. I don't come from a tech background, and I was convinced I wasn't going to understand it. Silly me, how wrong I was!
I found it was far more accessible than I expected. It changed the way I run my business, the way I manage the constant juggle of work and family, and it gave me back time. Time to do things better, time to grow, and the ability to go to bed knowing the 'to do' list is under control.
But alongside all of that, I've always been concerned about how AI gets used, and that concern has become just as central to what I teach as the practical skills. Ethics, representation, the responsibility of using these tools with intention rather than just chasing the next shiny thing. I want the people who come to my workshops to care about that too, to leave not just as more capable users, but as thoughtful ones who haven't lost their voice or their humanity along the way.
That's what these workshops are really about. I'd love to see you in the room.

If you're already thinking about booking Foundations, it's worth knowing that you can add Advanced at the same time and save 20%.
The two workshops are designed to work together. Foundations gives you the grounding and confidence to start using AI properly. Advanced takes you into the features and tools that open up once you've got that foundation in place. There's always enough time between the two dates to put what you've learned into practice before you come back for more.
